Barça leads sports clubs on social networks with more than 65 million followers
FC Barcelona
has been nominated as one of the finalists as the best club in the world using social networks. The Club won the award last June and now has the chance to retain its top spot. Leo Messi has also been nominated in the sports star section.
StarCount is a specialist site dedicated to measuring the popularity of brands on social networks and it will announce the awards at a special gala which will be available live after an agreement between You tube and Google. 'The Social Awards 2013 will be held in Singapore on May 23rd and will be the first event to be streamed for a whole 24 hours. Other personalities and institutions will also be honoured at the event.
